TONY MOORE - MUAY THAI SEMINAR - JUNE 2007

On the 2nd June 2007, Kru Tony Moore came to the Black Dragon Camp to teach K-1 Kickboxing members rituals, traditions and fighting techniques of Muay Thai. We were shown Wai Kru (respect-to-teacher ritual) and Ram Muay (ritual dance). We were also taught effective counters to the devastating and powerful Muay Thai shin kicks and knee strikes.

Kru Tony has many years experience in Muay Thai and is the highest ranking Krab-Krabong practitioner outside of Thailand and it was a priviledge to train with him and learn from someone so highly respected both in the U.K. and Thailand for his knowledge.

Thanks to Tony for a great seminar and also to Kru Neville Grant (from GL1 Muay Thai camp), Jenni Lauren (L.A. Martial Arts) and Wayne Timlin (Impact Martial Arts) for their support on the day.

On the 20th May 2007, a small group of K-1 Kickboxing members from the Black Dragon Camp were invited by Neville Grant to go to the GL1 Muay Thai Camp to train with Tony Myers who is a veteran in Thai Boxing.

Tony, an expert on the rules and regulations of Muay Thai, really put us through the ropes and we all came out feeling that we had a physical and knowledgable lesson. Thanks very much Tony for a great day and thank you Neville for inviting us (once again).

GENSHIN RYU SELF-DEFENCE DIPLOMA - MARCH 2007

For the last 12 months Steve Barron and myself have been travelling down to Melksham to train in the art of Genshin Ryu Ju-Jitsu Self Defence. Well on the 3rd March the journey came to an end with a 2 hour grading in self-defence techniques. The techniques we had to perform were attacks from hand to hand combat, knife attacks, baton attacks, 2 man attacks. It was an intense 2 hours but thoroughly enjoyable.

The end result was Steve passed with a Level 3 International Self Defense Diploma and I passed with a Level 2 International Self Defense Diploma. Well done Steve for your dedication.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Grand Master Den Butler for his patience and for showing me a small part of his art of Genshin Kai Ju-Jitsu. THANKS DEN.
