Mark Weir MMA Seminar - April 2011

Instructors Ash Eaglestone and Wayne Timlin held a seminar on MMA inviting guest instructor Mark Weir (once holder of the fastest UFC knockout) to share his knowledge of Mixed Martial Arts. Everybody enjoyed the afternoon and on a personal note I really loved the warm up Mark demonstrated as it was designed very functional.

Rick Faye Seminar - Feb 2011

Six years ago a Filipino Martial Arts friend of mine named Ramin brought out the curiosity in me when he told me about the Filipino boxing art of Panantukan, so captivated, I set out to find as much about this art as possible. At the time the only information I could find was in one book, A Guide To Panantukan by Rick Faye. This book intrigued me so much that I read the book three or four times, after many year of searching and still wanting to learn Filipino boxing I finally found Guru Gary Baker who is a direct student of Guru Dan Inosanto and Guru Rick Faye.

On the 2nd of February 2011, Gary invited me down to Brendon’s Club In Bournemouth to train with Guru Rick Faye, not to sound corny but it was one of my dreams come true. On the day Guru Rick opened up a new universe to me which I am very grateful for, thank you very much Rick. I would also like to thank my instructor Guru Gary Baker and Guru Brendon for their hospitality.

Kru Ash Awarded Level One Basic Wrist Locks Instructor - Jan 2011

On the 24th of January Les Davis from the Bujitsu Streetwise Foundation visited and tested Kru Ashley in Bujitsu level one basic wrist locks. The day was very successful and Kru Ashley was awarded his level one basic wrist locks instructor certificate. I would personal like to thank Les for a great day of learning as well as testing.
