Student of the Year 2010 - Sam Deller

Sam has been with the club for over a year. In this time he has trained hard and excelled as a Martial Artist, taking in relevant information I have taught him and working out his own solutions. He also gives up his Saturday mornings to help the children develop their Thai Boxing skills. Well done Sam, you are an inspiration to all students.

Gracie Barra Ju-Jitsu and Thai Boxing Seminar

Instructors Ash Eaglestone and Wayne Timlin held a seminar on Thai Boxing for students from MTK-1 and Impact Martial Arts camps with guest instructor Patrick Reeves covering aspects of Gracie Barra Ju-Jitsu. The three hour seminar pushed students hard covering groundwork, boxing and kicking drills. It was a great seminar and everyone had a great time. Our thanks to Patrick and his sparring partner Colin for visiting our camp and sharing their knowledge.

Bob Spour Seminar - 19th September 2010

At this latest elite seminar with Bob we were shown the latest training techniques being used out in Thailand, brought back by some of Bob's fighters training and fighting out there representing the Phraya Pichai Camp. On a more personal note best of luck to the eight fighters out there at the moment and a massive thank you to Bob for taking time
out from his busy schedule and sharing his wealth of knowledge (EXCELLENT SEMINAR).

A Typical Training Night - May 2010

Sandy Holt and Ronnie Thompson Muay Thai Seminar - 9th May 2010

Sandy Holt and Ronnie Thompson shared their combined 60+ years of Muay Thai knowledge to students from the Swindon Muay Thai K-1 camp in a fantastic 4 hour seminar. Sandy and Ronnie covered punching drills, elbows, knees, kicks, clinchwork and even touched on the lesser-known techniques of Muay Boran. Despite Sandy and Ronnie making the seminar light-hearted (cracking some terrible northern jokes) they got 110% out of the students and gave a highly enjoyable and rewarding seminar. Thanks Sandy and Ronnie - hopefully we'll see you again in the Swindon MTK-1 camp soon.

Ash meets Danny Dyer - 27th February 2010

Photo below of Ash and Danny Dyer at theTrojan MMA Event at Westpoint Arena, Exeter. Danny Dyer starred in Football Factory, The Business, Severance and many more films. Danny is also well known for his TV series Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men.

A great night was put on by the Trojan MMA organisers and fighters. My tip for an up and coming fighter is James "Scraps" Saville who at the age of 19 put up a excellent fight.

'Valentines Massacre' Kickboxing Competition, Premier Club - 13th February 2010

Six students from the Swindon Phraya Pichai camp fought in the 'Valentine Massacre' Kickboxing Competition at the Premier Club in Swindon on Saturday 13th February in front of a 300+ crowd. Congratulations in particular to Instructor Mike George who won his fight however the remaining students (James MacMillan, Ian Rumbold, Ross Hayes, Francis Lopata and Glen Suttie) committed 100% and gave a credible performance fighting in a different style to the Muay Thai / K-1 style they normally train in. Well done guys.
